Kristin Redmond graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University where she majored in neuro-psychology. She received her MD and MPH from Tulane University where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as well as the Gold Humanism in Medicine honor society. She did her residency at Johns Hopkins and remained on faculty upon graduation. She specializes in treatment of tumors of the CNS and is the director of the spinal oncology multidisciplinary program. She is a member of the Miller Coulson Academy of Clinical Excellence at Johns Hopkins and is an author of more than 150 manuscripts, book chapters and review articles on tumors of the CNS.
