Jack Wadden is a postdoctoral research fellow with a dual posting in pulmonology and pediatric hematology/oncology working with Drs. Bob Dickson and Carl Koschmann. Jack holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, and started his post-doc developing accelerators for bioinformatics applications, but has gravitated towards biomedical engineering and cancer diagnostics. He is an expert in real-time nanopore sequencing and novel DNA amplification technologies. His research focuses on the design and translation of affordable, ultra-rapid, and ultra-sensitive assays for cancer diagnostics such as intra-operative tumor typing, and disease response monitoring via liquid-biopsy."
