I am Lateef Adebisi Odukoya, my academic journey began with the achievement of an MBBS degree from Lagos State University, Lagos, Nigeria, marked by numerous honors and scholarships that underscore my commitment to academic excellence. I completed my residency training in the Department of Anatomic and Molecular Pathology of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos Nigeria in 2021and became a Fellow of the Faculty of Pathology National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. Further enhancing my knowledge, I earned a Master of Philosophy in Cancer Science from Stellenbosch University, South Africa, graduating with distinction (Cum Laude) in 2020. I have an interest in advancing the field of cancer research. My educational foundation, coupled with experience in cancer research and a history of remarkable accomplishments, has molded me into a well-rounded professional with a fervent dedication to excellence.
As a trained anatomic pathologist, I have actively contributed to disease diagnosis and conducted research on various cancers. My portfolio includes both authored and co-authored publications, demonstrating my proficiency in doing research. I am a Fellow of the Union for international Cancer Control (UICC) due to my contribution to research through a now published project on colorectal cnacer that I completed in 2019. I am currently a research fellow at the Mayo Clinic Rochester, where my current research focuses on unraveling the molecular intricacies of brain tumors diagnosed in Nigeria, contributing valuable insights to the field of oncology.
In addition to my research pursuits, I have actively engaged with the global scientific community. I have presented my work at both local and international conferences, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination within the research community.
I am resolute in my commitment to advancing our understanding of cancer and contributing to the development of innovative approaches to diagnosis and treatment.
