I was born in Cairo, Egypt, and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at a young age. I was raised in San Jose, California, and attended college at the University of California, Santa Barbara where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology. I am currently a medical student at the UCSF School of Medicine. My research interests include health disparities within neurosurgery and translational work for gliomas. I enjoy street and landscape photography, cycling, and listening to my favorite music in my free time.
