Fumiyuki Yamasaki, MD, PhD, is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, at the Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan. Fumiyuki completed his Clinical Residency in Neurosurgery at Kure National Hospital, Kure, Japan in 1996. Fumiyuki received the the Ph.D. degree from the Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Prefecture, Japan in 2003. From 2003 to 2006, Fumiyuki was a Research Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Texas, Houston, Texas. Fumiyuki is skilled in surgical neuro-oncology, neuro-oncology and pediatric neuro-oncology. Fumiyuki is also skilled in diagnostic neuroradiology including MRI, PET/CT, and functional/advanced imaging. Fumiyuki is a director of the Japanse Society of Neuro-Oncology and the Japanese Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
