Clinical and research focus:
As a neurosurgical representative at the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) my main clinical focus is the diagnosis and treatment of neurooncological pathologies. In cooperation with the department of gynecological oncology I am coordinating the recruitment of breast tumor patients with metastatic brain disease for the personalized molecular therapy. Further research interests comprise the diagnosis of brain tumors using advanced neuroimaging techniques and the experimental research on drug discovery using brain tumor stem cells at the Division of Experimental Neurosurgery.
