Shreya Gandhi is an aspiring Clinician-Scientist and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Tower, University Health Network, exploring the spatial and single-cell proteomic landscape of the hypoxic tumour microenvironment of glioblastomas under the supervision of Dr. Gelareh Zadeh. She is the current Chair of the Canadian Cancer Society Research Information Outreach Team, Advocacy Board Member of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and All-Party Federal Cancer Caucus, Research Partner with Brainstrust, Committee Member of the Society of Neuro-Oncology Public Policy Committee, Founder and President of the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Student Association, recipient of the Lieutenant Governor's Award from the Government of Ontario, and Recipient of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada National Volunteer of Distinction Award. In addition to launching her very own non-profit pediatric cancer organization that works with pediatric cancer families at One Mission and the One Mission Resource Room at Boston Children's Hospital, The Boston House, Christopher's Haven, and Lucy's Love Bus, she has served as a former Riding Representative with the Ontario Provincial Youth Cabinet. With the former Minister of Health and current Minister of Education, Shreya Gandhi developed a policy paper mandating the automatic qualification of all pediatric brain tumour survivors for an individual education plan upon their return to the classroom; a resource previously only available to children on the autism spectrum.
