My name is Rongwei (Rochelle) Fu, PhD, a Professor of Biostatistics in the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) -Portland State University, School of Public Health. As a biostatistician, I have collaborated extensively with investigators at Oregon Health & Science University for the past thirteen years and served as the lead biostatistician for Pacific Northwest evidence-based practice center, Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine and Research Center for Gender-Based Medicine, with a very productive collaboration record. I became a collaborative cancer Biostatistician eight years ago, and work with the blood brain barrier disruption group on phase I and phase II oncology trials and observational studies to look at effective drug delivery and treatment of brain tumor, chemoprotection of hearing loss and using ferumoxyotol as an imaging agent for cancer diagnosis and clinical monitoring. I have also provided statistical support and methodological development for many systematic reviews projects on topics about the benefits and harms of screening Breast and Ovarian Cancer Susceptibility Genes, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, lung cancer, as well as assessing risk factors for breast cancer, chemoprevention of breast cancer and screening and diagnosis of bladder cancer and liver cancer. These systematic reviews have been used by US preventive Service Task Force to develop clinical guidelines. My research interests include Bayesian meta-analysis, mixture models and applied statistical methodology research in biomedical and public health science.
