Dr. Nico Teske, MD is a neurosurgical resident (PGY-4) and clinician scientist at the Department of Neurosurgery at the LMU University Hospital in Munich, Germany. His research interests cover both clinical and preclinical neurooncology. In respect to clinical research, he is especially interested in efforts to maximize extent of safe tumor resection using advanced imaging modalities and evaluate postoperative extent of resection in malignant and non-malignant primary brain tumors. For this purpose, he is part of the RANO resect group investigating such efforts. Apart from that, Nico Teske is also invested in translational research and currently investigates cell based immunotherapies for pediatric brain malignancies such as CAR T-cell therapy for medulloblastoma using in vitro and in vitro models.
