Rebecca Brown, MD PhD, is a board certified neurologist and neuro-oncologist, and Director of the Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis Clinic at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Brown has extensive laboratory experience in neuroendocrinology and neurofibromatosis type 1 basic and translational research. In 2021, she joined Mount Sinai and transitioned from laboratory science to clinical research. She now serves as the site PI for two neuro-oncology clinical trials, and the PI on an additional four investigator-initiated trials. Her research interests include increasing understanding of, and treatments for cutaneous neurofibromas, schwannomas, meningiomas, and high grade gliomas. She is particularly interested in determining the role of steroid hormones in tumor growth in NF1.
