My name is Severa Bunda and I am an Assistant Scientist at Dr. Gelareh Zadeh laboratory at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, University Health Network, Toronto Canada.
My research focuses on dissecting molecular mechanism of cancer-causing genes and the signaling pathways they innervate. In particular I'm interested in the most frequently altered oncogenic cascade in cancer the receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK)/Ras/MEK/ERK signaling pathway and the interplay of individual components within this pathway including the transcription repressor Capicua (CIC) an important downstream nuclear effector of this pathway in glioblastoma.
