Kunal Patel, MD is a fourth year neurosurgery resident at the University of California Los Angeles. He completed his undergraduate education at Dartmouth College and medical education Weill-Cornell Medical College. His research interests lie in advanced imaging in the study of malignant and benign brain tumors. He has worked with Dr. Theodore Schwartz at Weill-Cornell Medical College under the American Association of Neurologic Surgeons Research Fellowship and Clinical and Translational Science Center Fellowship studying anterior skull base neoplasms. He worked with Dr. Clark Chen at University of California San Diego under the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Medical Fellowship studying radiogenomics of glioblastoma. He is currently working with Dr. Benjamin Ellingson and Dr. Harley Kornblum using functional imaging to study intratumor heterogenity under the Eli & Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine Fellowship.
