Thomas Nelson, MD is a third-year neuro-oncology fellow in the combined Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center program. He trained as an electrical engineer and before medical school worked in software engineering. Research interests include applications of technology within medicine such as machine learning algorithms and novel device development. His current work interrogates the electrical signature of brain tumors with a present focus on electrical activity of the tumor-brain interface of glioblastoma and related primary brain tumors.
