Sangjo Kang is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Zou and Dr. Friedel lab in neuroscience department at Icahn School of Medicin at Mount Sinai.
He got his Bachelor and Master's Degree in Biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea. After his degree, he was a researcher at National Cancer Center in South Korea, studying human GBM invasion mechanism using mouse and in vitro cell culture systems. After his research, he gained his Ph.D. in Cornell University focusing on epigenetics related to adult tissue stem cell fate dicision. Currently, he is focusing on how Tumor associated Macrophages/Microglia affect tumor cell infiltration using mouse xenograft models.
