My name is Dr Zoe Woolf and I am the Centre for Brain Research Douglas Neurosurgery Unit Research Fellow at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. I have a background in myeloid cell culture and myeloid cell phenotyping in a range of brain tumours. One of my focuses is on the glioblastoma tumour microenvironment, studying how myeloid cells and vasculature vary across tumour niches. My current interests are in meningioma tumorigenesis and progression, where I am developing meningioma cell lines and meningioma organoid models to study hormone involvement in meningioma progression. My expertise include primary human cell culture, human tumour organoid culture, histology stains, multiplexed immunohistochemistry, single-cell image analysis and spectral flow cytometry.
