Dr Chloe Shard received her PhD in in Physiology, Development and Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2017 and is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre of Cancer Biology, (University of South Australia) in Adelaide, Australia. Her early career research at the University of Cambridge and a postdoctoral position at the Institute Pasteur (France) focused on microenvironmental interactions in neurogenic niches within the developing brain, exploring tissue level coordination of growth and neurogenesis. With a passion for exploring complex tissue ecosystems and its application to the study of nervous system pathologies Dr Shard joined the laboratory of Dr Guillermo Gomez at the Centre for Cancer Biology in 2021 to build a multi-omic atlas of glioblastoma. For this, Dr Shard has cultivated specialised expertise in single-cell, spatial transcriptomics, and spatial metabolomics data analysis with an aim to identify novel therapeutic avenues for the treatment of glioblastoma.
