Erika Lewis, MS is a 5th-year PhD student in the Plaisier Lab at Arizona State University. With a focus in computational biology, Erika merges multiple disciplines and utilizes a top-down approach to research, letting patient data direct further investigations. Erika currently applies this approach to glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) by integrating cancer biology and computer science to explore a range of clinically-relevant tumor features, including MRI biomarkers and the irradiation response. She hopes that her work will ultimately impact clinical treatment options and benefit those patients afflicted with GBM.
