I participated in approximately 14,000 surgeries with the Gamma Knife and conducted research on the effectiveness and safety of Gamma Knife surgery. I published various studies on the accuracy and quality control of radiation used by Gamma Knife. Advanced radiotherapy, including radiosurgery, uses a variety of equipment, so related terms and degree management techniques are not unified internationally. I participated in the standardization of radiosurgery terms in collaboration with other researchers and proposed several new terms, which were adopted as standards. In addition, I conducted a number of national research projects on gamma knife management and published the main results as an International Standard of Organization document in collaboration with Korea University.
