My name is Adam Turner and I serve as the Senior Director of Medical Physics for GT Medical Technologies, the manufacturer of the GammaTile Cs131 LDR applicator.
My experience includes working at a large, comprehensive cancer treatment center providing medical physics support for a robust radiation oncology program that includes external beam therapy (IMRT/VMAT, SRS/SBRT/SRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, and electron therapy) and brachytherapy (HDR breast and gynecological).
I provide freelance consulting for companies in need of medical physics support. This includes interfacing with customers from a sales/support standpoint as well as traditional clinical medical physics services.
I obtained my doctorate in biomedical physics with an emphasis in diagnostic imaging where my research focused on assessing radiation dose from CT exams using detailed Monte Carlo simulations. After graduate school, I completed a 2 year clinical medical physics residency at the University of Arizona Department of Radiation Oncology.
