Reema Patel

Reema Patel is a third-year medical student at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2019 where she received a B.S. in Neuroscience. After graduating, she spent a few years at the NIH's Center for Infectious Disease Imaging, where she worked on translational and clinical research to advance the development of PET-imaging biomarkers for various pathological states. She is excited by the prospects of precision medicine in driving innovation in healthcare forward. Career-wise, she is considering a few specialties, including hematology/oncology and neurology.
