Joseph Wishart, MS, is a first-year diagnostic medical physics resident at the University of Washington (UW) department of radiology. He did his undergraduate studies at Montana State University, receiving a degree in physics and an unofficial diploma in fly fishing studies. He finished his master's degree in June 2023, studying medical physics at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) while pursuing subspecialties in rock climbing and donut tasting. His master's thesis work was performed at OHSU and aimed at characterizing the tumor microenvironment in glioblastoma using multiparametric PET/MR imaging. He is now involved in a project studying the applications of hybrid 4D CT imaging at UW in addition to performing routine clinical physics tasks.
