Associate Professor Eng-Siew Koh, MBBS FRANZCR, is a Senior Staff Specialist in Radiation Oncology at Liverpool Hospital, New South Wales, Australia and a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales. She has developed sub-specialty interests in neuro-oncology (adult and paediatric), breast, and haematological cancers. Her two major directions which focus on 1) all aspects of neuro-oncology research and 2) cancer survivorship research including novel models of care and the late effects of cancer therapies.
She has received $16.7 million (via Chief Investigator involvement) in competitive research funding, including $14.6 million in brain tumour-related projects and over $2.1 million in cancer survivorship research. Associate Professor Koh has national leadership roles in neuro-oncology, being the current Chair of the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO) which is the peak brain tumour clinical trials group in Australia. Associate Professor Koh has played an instrumental role in the Australian research neuro-oncology community through COGNO, TROG, ARTnet, Cancer Symptom Trials group and COSA (Neuro-oncology and Survivorship groups). She has facilitated strong international collaborations with EORTC, NCIC-Canada and the US ALLIANCE Cooperative trials groups. She is co-principal investigator for the FET-PET imaging in Glioblastoma (FIG) trial, which is the largest prospective study of its kind internationally.
