Ana earned a PhD in Biology from Florida State University (2001), followed by postdoctoral fellowships in Neural Development ( Florida State University, 2001-2004) and Brain Tumor Research (Henry Ford Hospital, 2004-2006). Our research group maintains a collection of brain tumor patient-derived cancer stem cells and mouse xenografts. Our current work focuses on understanding adaptive responses to targeted inhibitors and developing strategies to target oncogenic pathways activated by gene amplification in glioblastoma models, in combination with the standard of care.
