Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
New York, United States
I am David Mao MD, an assistant attending at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I am a neurologist with specialized training in clinical neurophysiology. I completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and residency at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn. My fellowship training in neurophysiology was at New York Presbyterian Cornell. I work with a team of doctors, nurses, and support staff to provide personalized and compassionate care for people with seizures and other neurologic complications of cancer. In addition to seeing patients, I also review and interpret electroencephalography (EEG) studies and perform intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM), which is a technique used to prevent injury to the nerves during surgery.
