My name is Preston Carey and I am currently a second year medical student at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University working with the Neurological Surgery Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. I attended the Universtiy of Notre Dame for my undergraduate degree and worked as a scribe for Oak Street Heath during my gap year. I currently do research with the Neurological Surgery Department and the Neuro Oncology Department at Thomas Jefferson Universtiy Hospitals, the Spine group at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, and Medical Education with Sidney Kimmel Medical College. I am interested in pursuing a career in neurosurgery and anticipate graduating from medical school in 2026.
