Dr. Roberto Jose Diaz, MD, PhD, FRCSC. is a neurosurgeon and researcher at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Diaz obtained his BSc and M.D. from the University of Toronto and completed Neurosurgery residency at the University of Calgary. During residency and as a Canada Vanier Scholar, he earned a PhD in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. James Rutka. In June of 2015, Dr. Diaz received certification in Neurosurgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He then completed a surgical neuro-oncology fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Riccardo Komotar at the University of Miami Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Diaz has been an assistant professor in the department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, McGill University, since 2016.
