My name is Hasan Alrefai, M.S. I graduated with a Bacherlor's of Science in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master's of Science in Multidisciplinary Biomedical Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am currently enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Alabma at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. I am pursuing a PhD in immunology and am broadly interested in immuno-oncology. Specifically, I am iinterested in developing higher fidelity in-vitro models of tumor-associated macropahges (TAMs) within glioblastoma (GBM) and usign these models to characterize the effects of CD47 blockade on TAM-GBM biology and function.
