Hopitaux de Strasbourg-UMR CNRS 7021 – Team tumor signaling and therapeutic targets
Strasbourg, France
Pr. Natacha Entz-Werlé, MD-PhD, is working in the Pediatric Onco-Hematology Department of the University Hospital of Strasbourg (UHS) and in the UMR CNRS 7021, Laboratory Bioimaging and Pathologies (LBP) focusing on tumoral signaling and therapeutic targets in pediatric high grade gliomas. As professor of Pediatrics since 2009, she is an expert in pediatric neuro-oncology, leading the regional program of brain tumor management in Alsace and since 2018 chair of the national brain tumor working group in SFCE (Société Française des Cancers de l’Enfant). Her research interest is in translational programs bridging preclinical assessments of novel and innovative therapies to clinical trials in children with brain tumors. She is author or co-author of over 83 peer-reviewed manuscripts. She was the recipient of awards; among them, she obtains the Roche/Strasbourg University Foundation grant in 2015 to go further in the PEDIAMODECAN development and developed several 2D/3D models from pHGG tumors. She also developed in the Lab automated drug screening in in vitro models, as well as in vivo models. Multiple collaborations afford opportunities to obtain new molecules and develop innovative bioinformatic analyses to explore models and underline signature to classify the pediatric high grade gliomas.
