David Sheppard, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He specializes in neurocognitive evaluations for individuals with a history of brain tumor and non-CNS cancers. His research investigates the effects of neurocognitive changes on daily functioning among individuals with a history of brain tumor or following treatment for cancers outside the central nervous system. Other areas of interest include identifying novel ways to measure neurocognition and everyday functioning, as well as the long-term effects of cancer and cancer treatment on neurocognitive aging. He earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston (Neuropsychology Major Area of Study), and he completed both his clinical internship and a research postdoctoral fellowship (Northwest Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center) at the VA Puget Sound, Seattle Division.
