I am Dr. Jens Blobner, neurosurgery resident at LMU University Hospital in Munich, Germany. My journey in the field of neurosurgery has been marked by a fervent commitment to advancing the treatment of neurological oncology, and I possess a keen interest in pioneering innovative therapeutic approaches. As a Clinician Scientist I focus on both basic and clinical science with a strong emphasis on translational research. My academic journey has been guided by a relentless pursuit of knowledge and a desire to improve the lives of patients facing complex central nervous system (CNS) malignancies. Currently, I work as Postdoctoral Researcher in the laboratory of Prof. Louisa von Baumgarten. Here, my research is focused on unraveling the intricacies of CAR T cell therapy in the context of CNS malignancies. I am driven to explore novel mechanisms that can augment the efficacy of CAR T cell-based treatments, with the ultimate goal of bringing new hope to patients battling these challenging conditions. My journey as a neurosurgery resident and Clinician Scientist is marked by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the fight against brain tumors.
