Ryan Cleary, MD is a resident in the Department of Neurosurgery at Washington University, School of Medicine. Ryan received his bachelor's degree from Boston College, and received a master's degree from Boston University. He attended Saint Louis University School of Medicine to complete his MD. After starting his neurosurgical residency at Saint Louis University in 2017, Ryan joined the neurosurgical residency program at Washington University in 2021. He worked as a post-doctoral in Dr. Albert Kim's lab, where his research focused on understanding the mechanisms of blood-brain barrier disruption after laser interstitial thermal therapy, and is currently completing an enfolded Advanced Surgical Neuro-oncology fellowship. Ryan's clinical interests include skull base tumors, primary brain tumors, and clinical trial design for CNS malignacies.
