Brandon McClellan, BSc, is a 5th year PhD candidate in the immunology graduate program at the University of Michigan. Under the tutelage of his mentors, Maria Castro and Pedro Lowenstein, Brandon is investigating the role of the tumor immune-microenvironment in glioma progression and response to therapeutics. More specifically, he studies several mechanisms of immune modulation in mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) gliomas compared to wildtype IDH gliomas in order to identify biologic targets for potential therapies.
