Emily Eastwood, PhD is Senior Scientist working in the R&D Dept. at Certis Oncology Solutions in San Diego, CA. Dr. Eastwood is an in vivo pharmacologist, who has extensive training in neuroscience, oncology, behavioral pharmacology, and mouse model development. Her doctoral work was completed in the Dept. of Behavioral Neuroscience at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Eastwood completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in the Human Biology Dept., where she studied small cell lung cancer using patient derived xenograft models and genetically engineered mouse models. Her recent work at Certis Oncology Solutions, which provides individualized precision patient care in orthotopic PDX models, has focused on Glioblastoma Multiforme models utilizing artificial intelligence aided predictions of efficacy to select therapeutic treatments for in vivo pharmacology.
