My name is Stefanie-Grace Sbergio, and I am a graduate PhD student in Dr. Cynthia Hawkins' lab at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. In Dr. Hawkins' lab, I am investigating several novel therapeutics in Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Using a targeted toxin, we developed a DIPG-specific molecule to be delivered directly into the tumour via small catheter cannulas. Additionally, my other works use synthetic lethality drug screens to identify novel therapies, which are then tested in vitro and in vivo.
