Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States
Hinsdale, Illinois, United States
Carol Kruchko is the President & Chief Mission Officer of the Central Brain Tumor Registry of the United States (CBTRUS). Since founding CBTRUS in 1992, she has been working to improve the collection and reporting of population-based data on all primary brain and other central nervous tumors. Under her leadership, CBTRUS provides yearly Statistical Reports as Supplements to the Society for Neuro-Oncology’s (SNO) journal, Neuro-Oncology. She believes that accurate and complete data can only be achieved through actively and consistently building consensus between the cancer registry community and the brain tumor research and clinical communities. Currently, she is a member of the NAACCR Committee on Fit for Use Data Assessment and the NAACCR Pathology Reporting Workgroup and serves on the SNO Guidelines Committee.
Mrs. Kruchko has co-authored many population-based manuscripts and received the first Society for Neuro-Oncology Jan Esenwein 2017 Public Service Award in Neuro-Oncology.
