I was born in Wichita, Kansas. I graduated as Valedictorian from Brunswick High School in Ohio and went to Harvard University for my undergraduate studies. At Harvard I concentrated in Molecular and Cellular Biology and did a secondary field in Mind,Brain, Behavior with an honors thesis. I entered the MSTP MD-PhD program at MD Anderson-UT Houston. There I did my PhD in functional genomics on glioblastoma under Dr. Giulio Draetta at MD Anderson. I also did an executive health leadership program through Cornell University. I completed my Adult Neurology resdiency training at Dell Medical School at UT Austin. Now I am a Neuro-Oncology fellow at MD Anderson and aspire to become a Neuro-Oncologist and physician-scientist with a split between lab and clinic.
