Jiguang Wang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Division of Life Science and Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has received his Ph.D. degree from Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science (AMSS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2011. Between 2011 and 2015, he was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Columbia University. From 2015, he was named as the Precision Medicine Fellow and promoted to an Associate Research Scientist at DBMI. He has established the Wang Genomic Laboratory at the end of 2016. He is now focusing on the application of data science in biology and medicine. His research interests include cancer genomics, medical image analytics, machine learning, and precision medicine.
