Dr. Serdar Turkarslan is a Senior Research Scientist at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, Washington. He has a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania and extensive experience and a track record in computational biology. He is interested in understanding how cells respond to changes in disease or normal states by reprogramming their gene regulatory networks (GRN) and delineating the principles underlying the mechanism and evolution of these complex regulatory programs. Dr. Turkarslan uses systems approaches to build global-scale predictive network models for cancer to reverse engineer biological circuits for precision oncology applications.
