Kaylene Lu

Kaylene Lu is currently pursuing her PhD as a third year Graduate Research Assistant in the Cancer Biology Program at the Universty of Texas MD Anderson UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS). She graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021. Kaylene is now completing her thesis work in the lab of Dr. Jian Hu, PhD, in the Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her research focuses on delineating mechanisms underlying dysregulated lipid metabolism and genome instability in glioblastoma and neurodegenerative diseases for the identification of novel therapeutic strategies.
