Prof. Rachel Grossman is the vice-chairman of the neurosurgery department at Tel-Aviv medical center, Israel. Prof. Grossman focuses her clinical practice on the surgical treatment of malignant and benign brain tumors, with an emphasis on functional mapping during surgery, as well as in the treatment of patients with pituitary adenomas and meningiomas. Her research interests and publications focus on neuro-oncology, specifically, the molecular characteristics of brain tumors, assessment of the efficacy of drugs against various of glioma models, pharmacokinetics of drugs in brain tumors and development of approaches to optimize drug activity within tumors. She is currently the leader of several pre-clinical and clinical project in the field of brain tumors.
