Kim Johnson is a cancer epidemiologist. She is a professor at the Washington University in St. Louis Brown School's Master of Public Health program. Her current research focuses on disparities in access to care among children and young adults diagnosed with cancer. Her past research focused on the etiology of pediatric cancer in both the general and high-risk (Neurofibromatosis Type 1) populations. Her experience includes designing and managing projects, collecting and organizing data, conducting analyses using a number of different statistical tools, supervising staff, and mentoring students/trainees across levels (undergraduate, masters-level, PhD, MD and residents) from project conception to completion.
Johnson is past co-President of the Brain Tumor Epidemiology Consortium, an international consortium focused on the epidemiology of brain tumors. She is chair of the Epidemiology and Biostatistics concentration in the Washington University in St. Louis Brown School Master of Pubic Health program. She has taught Foundations in Public Health: Epidemiology and Advanced Data Analysis.
