Dr. Underhill is an Associate Professor in the Division of Medical Genetics, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and an Investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute. His research focuses on the development of circulating cell-free DNA as a non-invasive tool to diagnose brain tumors and detect recurrent disease. His research also includes developing, translating, and applying advanced quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques for studying tumor-associated changes in white matter structure and function. Dr. Underhill has a particular interest in research integrating molecular research for genotyping with MRI for phenotyping to explore relationships between changes in the cell-free DNA molecular profile and tumor response to therapy.
