Kings's College London
Anisia is a neuropharmacology researcher in the Quantitative Ultrasound Imaging & Interventions (QUIIN) laboratory at King’s College London. She received her MSc in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford and her BSc in Medical Biosciences from Imperial College London. She previously worked on developing Machine Learning models for predicting tumour response to drug treatment at Astrazeneca. Anisia now works with Dr. Antonios Pouliopoulos in the QUIIN laboratory on the pre-clinical evaluation of ultrasound-mediated paediatric brain tumour treatment using drug-loaded thermosensitive liposomes. The QUIIN laboratory develops novel methods for imaging and delivering therapeutics to the tumour site using FUS and microbubbles. These technologies enable the bypassing of the BBB thereby increasing drug concentration at the tumour site. More information about the QUIIN lab can be found online at https://www.quiinlab.com/.
