My research interest is neurofibromatosis type 1 gene therapy and CAR-T therapy in brain tumors. NF1 is a tumor predisposition syndrome caused by the functional loss of neurofibromin. Our lab pursues a gene replacement approach for NF1, using adeno-associated virus and also herpes simplex virus 1.
