Dr. Robert Prins is a Professor at UCLA with joint appointments in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Medical & Molecular Pharmacology, the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, the Brain Research Institute and the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Prins has had graduate and postdoctoral training in cellular and molecular immunology, as well as in-depth experience specifically in brain tumor animal models. He is trained in tumor immunology and is an expert in the field of brain tumor immunology, and as such is well-positioned to characterize the anti-tumor immune responses after checkpoint blockade and/or dendritic cell vaccine therapy in human patients.
