I (Frank Szulzewsky, Ph.D.) am working as a senior staff scientist in the laboratory of Eric C Holland, M.D., Ph.D. at the Fred Hutchsinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle since August 2015. I conducted my Ph.D. studies in the laboratory of Prof Helmut Kettenmann from 2011 till 2015 and received my Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Free University Berlin. I am studying the oncogenic functions of YAP1 fusion proteins and the interaction between tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment. For this I am using a variety of molecular techniques including genetically-engineered tumor mouse models, RNA- and ChIP-Seq, as well different cell culture models.
