Charlotte Bellamy is a 4th year PhD student in the Sanson-Huillard team at the Paris Brain Institute, France. Her PhD is titled: 'Functional characterisation of a novel mutation in PRKCA: a major driver of Chordoid Gliomas'. This project is in collaboration with the Newton team at the UC San Diego, USA, after she was awarded the IUBMB Wood-Whelan research fellowship to spend time in the Newton team as part of her PhD work. After graduating with a BSc in Genetics at QMUL, UK and then an MSc in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Sorbonne University, France, Charlotte was a member of the Ligon team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, USA, where she worked on understanding resistance mechanisms in high-grade gliomas, before starting her PhD.
