I am a classically trained biochemist with training and laboratory experience in cellular signaling, lipid metabolism, molecular oncology, proteomics and genomics. From 2009-August 2018 I utilized this experience in assisting and supporting the Case CCC as Scientific Writer and Program Manager. During this time I facilitate PIs with grant and/or manuscript applications through scientific editing and application preparation and submission. Additionally, I aided investigators with questions regarding human subjects and grant preparation. During my time at CWRU I was involved in the competitive grant renewal and subsequent progress reports with specific scientific editing of program and core resources sections, analysis of references for program and core usage support, assembly of physical grant, program preparation for site visit presentations, preparation of support materials and other tasks necessary for the successful submission. I was heavily involved in the two successful renewals of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center Support Grant (P30), the most recent having received a score of exceptional in 2017. In the fall of 2018 I accepted the position of Assistant Director, Research Operation, Cleveland Center for Health Outcomes (CCHOR) where I oversaw all administrative activities, provide operational leadership, and implement strategic vision for CCHOR as well as the research team of Jill Barnholtz-Sloan research team. In the spring of 2021, I joined the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) as a contracted Staff Scientist with the Barnholtz-Sloan group investigating the descriptive epidemiology studies and etiologic investigations of brain tumors.
I am a full-time contractor of the NIH/NCI. The research services performed in this work are provided by the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) of the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
