Dr. Gonzalez Castro received his MD and PhD degrees from Harvard University and completed neurology residency at the Mass General Brigham / Harvard Medical School Neurology Residency Program, followed by neuro-oncology fellowship training at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Gonzalez Castro casre for patients with primary brain tumors and brain metastases, as well as patients suffering from neurologic complications of cancer and its therapy. Dr. Gonzalez Castro's research efforts are aimed at understanding the genetic basis of cancer cell survival and resistance to treatment in primary brain tumors, with the goal of developing more effective therapies.
