Shruthi Kondaboina is a research scientist at the Ferreira Lab at the University of Washington Medical Center after earning her degree in biology and biochemistry at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on gene discovery and development of innovative therapies for different brain cancers, including epidermoid cysts and aneurysms, with a particular emphasis on leveraging next-generation-sequencing techniques to identify biomarkers and potential drug targets to potentiate the repurposing of FDA approved drugs. Her work has been presented at the Solid Tumor Translational Research retreat at Fred Hutchinson and they look forward to connecting with other scientists at the SNO conference to increase their knowledge. In her free time, Shruthi enjoys hiking, music and spending time with her niece and nephew.
